ALMONDS - PINE KERNELS - SUNFLOWER SALTED SEEDS


Edible nuts are hard-shelled seed consisting of an edible kernel enclosed in a woody or leathery shell. Some types of edible nuts are the following ones:

Edible Nuts of Spain:
Almonds: oval-shaped edible seed of the almond tree.
Hazelnuts: round-shaped nut coming from hazelnut tree (genus Corylus)
Pistachios: nut of Mediterranean trees having an edible green kernel.
Peanuts: pod of the peanut vine containing usually 2 nuts or seeds. British terms are “groundnut” and “monkey nut” .
Pine nuts: edible seed of nut pines .
Sunflowers seeds: edible seed of sunflowers. Used as food and poultry feed and as a source of oil.
Pumpkin seeds: the edible nut seed of a pumpkin.
