More than half of commercialized sunflower seeds
in Spain come from the U.E., because the Spanish production
is insufficient.
Its direct consumption has been joined up to the other dried
fruits, mainly salted in-shell and the sunflower seeds
fried without shell.
Sunflower seeds are rich in the poly-nonsaturated fats. Fat
content per 100 g. is 24 g. and it reduces the cholesterol and
three-glycerides.
A portion of 50 g. of sunflower seeds in-shell
contributes 140KCal.
