Sunflower salted seeds contain an important source of vitamin E, potassium, magnesium and sodium if salt added.

More than half of commercialized sunflower seeds in Spain come from the U.E., because Spanish production is insufficient.

Its direct consumption has been joined up to the other dried fruits, mainly salted in-shell and also sunflower seeds fried without shell.

Sunflower seeds are rich in poly-nonsaturated fats. Fat content per 100 g. is 24 g. and it reduces the cholesterol and three-glycerides.

A portion of 50 g. of sunflower seeds in-shell contributes just 140KCal.
